PLN #3

For me, the topic that I found was the most interesting was the Steriod abuse in the MLB. I thought that this was interesting because I was always interested in the topic and it was nice to get some other people perception of it. I thought that the presenter did a good job showing their side of the argument and the opposing views of it. I thought it was also interesting that their are a lot of players that are falsely accused, but most are correct. The presenter did a very good job in sharing their information and it was very well planned.

PLN#2

After more research on the topic of video game violence, I have started to emerge on the side that it doesn't exist. I think that the only reason video games have been blamed for violence is that kids who do something bad blame them on video games so they won't get into trouble. I also think that they may trigger something in there brain because they already have a pre-existing disorders. I think that I can consider most of my friends "gamers" and none of my friends have ever done anything that would even come close to being violent. 

Video Game Violence: Does it exsist?

When I started my research I noticed that many of the top- selling games were either war games, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which brought in $550 million in the first five days(Pro Con.org). Video games such as these are said to be responsible for school shootings, increased in bullying and violence toward women(ProCon). Although video games have had an increase in bullying, the plus side to video games is that they can be a safe outlet for aggression and anger for kids(ProCon). Growing up I have been playing video games, violent or not, I do not think that they have desinsitized me towards violence. I personally think that there is no such thing as video game violence, I think that people who use this as an excuse already have some mental inbalance of feelings in there body and maybe the video game industry has made it come out, but if exposed to a healthy mind it will be fine. I don't think that exsist but I want to further my research to see more results have scientific test that may have further information on the subject.
